The Beermen advanced to the finals by defeating the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings 4-2 in their semifinal series.

The TNT Tropang 5G enter the finals shorthanded due to significant injuries, with key players RR Pogoy (hamstring) and Kelly Williams (ankle) unavailable.
