Bernardo Silva: Arsenal’s Poor Form Boosts Man City’s Premier League Chances
Manchester City captain Bernardo Silva stated that Arsenal's recent results have given City unexpected hope in the Premier League title race. He acknowledged that City's own poor form at the start of the year, failing to win any of their first four games, should have seen them fall further behind.
However, Arsenal's failure to win their last three matches—comprising two draws and a defeat to Manchester United—has kept the gap between the teams at only four points. The two sides are scheduled to meet at the Etihad Stadium in April.
Silva pointed to Arsenal's lack of recent title-winning experience, noting they have finished second in each of the past three seasons. He contrasted this with the experience of rivals like Liverpool and his own Manchester City, highlighting that he has never seen Arsenal win the league during his time in England.
