Filipino volleyball star Ara Galang has officially joined Strong Group Athletics (SGA) as the team's top signing of the offseason. Following a stellar stint with the Chery Tiggo Crossovers, this transfer marks a key move by SGA to assemble a formidable veteran roster and compete for the championship of the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.

Galang’s arrival has added more star power to SGA’s already stacked lineup, which features a host of notable players including Mylene Paat, Imee Hernandez and Royse Tubino. During her time with the Chery Tiggo Crossovers, Galang was the absolute cornerstone of the team—she helped the squad reach the playoffs in most conferences, claimed the Best Opposite Hitter award at the 2025 PVL on Tour, and guided the team to its first finals appearance in four years.

While Galang’s contract with SGA has been finalized, her specific team assignment for the upcoming conference remains pending. Sources indicate that she will either join the Farm Fresh Foxies or the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles.
