Ivy Lacsina of the Akari Chargers was unanimously named the PVL Press Corps Player of the Week for February 24-28, helping her team break a slump in the All-Filipino Conference.

She earned the honor with standout performances in two victories. On February 24, she recorded 20 points and 10 receptions in a four-set win over the Nxled Chameleons. On Saturday, she again scored 20 points and added 11 excellent receptions in a dramatic five-set victory against the Cignal Super Spikers.

Lacsina credited her success to a team effort, stating she fights hard to not waste the effort of her teammates and coaches. She also emphasized shared leadership within the team, moving beyond relying solely on veteran Grethcel Soltones.

The weekly award is voted on by reporters covering the league. Lacsina edged out other nominees including Erika Santos, Eya Laure, Sisi Rondina, Savi Davison, Bella Belen, and Sydney Niegos.

Akari's next match is against the Capital1 Solar Spikers on March 7 at the same venue, with live streaming available online.
