Abarrientos, Juan Gomez de Liano team up in PBA All-Star Weekend

RJ Abarrientos of Barangay Ginebra and Juan Gomez De Liano of Converge, two rapidly emerging guards, will co-lead the Rookies and Sophomores team after receiving high vote totals for the PBA All-Star Weekend sideshow. Their selection follows a notable playoff matchup where Abarrientos' Gin Kings defeated De Liano's higher-seeded FiberXers in back-to-back games to reach the semifinals.

Abarrientos topped the Rookies and Sophomores squad voting with 42,862 votes. The team includes Justine Baltazar (38,022 votes), Juan Gomez De Liano (37,802), Sedrick Barefield (32,246), Jerom Lastimosa (31,208), Caelan Tiongson (30,840), Kai Ballungay (28,466), CJ Cansino (28,094), Sonny Estil (24,026), Dalph Panopio (23,136), Mark Nonoy (20,498), and Felix Lemetti (19,890).

For the Juniors team, Adrian Nocum of Rain or Shine led the voting with 38,710 votes. He is joined by Ricci Rivero (38,020), Holt (35,584), Zavier Lucero (35,120), Brandon Bates (28,008), Ralph Cu (27,806), Christian David (25,852), Kim Aurin (25,142), Fran Yu (23,602), Kenneth Tuffin (25,576), Deschon Winston (21,412), and Cade Flores (20,370).

The 2025 PBA All-Star Weekend is scheduled for March 6-8 in Candon City, Ilocos Sur. This marks the return of the two All-Star team format last used in the 2019 edition in Calasiao, Pangasinan.
