Vaslui delivered a statement performance in Romanian Liga III on Saturday evening, sweeping aside CS Aerostar Bacau 3-0 at their home ground. The victory, sealed with three unanswered goals, underlined Vaslui's growing reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the third tier and left Aerostar searching for answers.

Match Overview

From the first whistle, Vaslui imposed their rhythm. The hosts pressed high, won second balls, and constantly stretched Aerostar's backline with quick switches of play. Aerostar, who arrived hoping to frustrate, were pinned back for long spells and struggled to string together meaningful possession. The deadlock was broken midway through the first half, and from there the home side never looked back.

Key Moments

• 23rd minute: Vaslui's pressure told when a low cross from the right was turned in at the near post, sending the home crowd into raptures.
• 58th minute: A second goal arrived after a slick one-two on the edge of the box, finished with composure into the bottom corner.
• 79th minute: The scoring was completed with a header from a corner, capping a dominant display.

Tactical Story

Vaslui lined up in a 4-2-3-1 that morphed into a 3-2-5 in possession, with the full-backs pushing high to overload the flanks. Aerostar's 4-4-2 proved too static to cope, and their midfield was overrun. The visitors' best chance came from a rare counterattack in the 35th minute, but a last-ditch tackle preserved the clean sheet.

Standout Players

Vaslui's No. 9 was the star of the show, scoring twice and leading the line with intelligence. The attacking midfielder pulled the strings, while the centre-back pairing dealt comfortably with Aerostar's sporadic forays forward. For Aerostar, the goalkeeper made several smart saves to keep the scoreline respectable.

What It Means for the Table

The three points lift Vaslui into a promising position in the Liga III standings, strengthening their push for a promotion play-off spot. For CS Aerostar Bacau, it is a damaging defeat that leaves them looking over their shoulder and in need of a rapid response in their next fixture.
