Team Info

Worthing Football Club is a semi-professional team based in the town of Worthing, West Sussex, competing in the English Conference South Division. The club, often referred to as The Rebels, plays its home games at Woodside Road. Founded in 1886, the team's traditional colors are red and white, and they are currently under the guidance of a dedicated manager and ownership focused on community engagement. The club was formed in the late 19th century and has been a staple of non-league football in the South of England for well over a century. The nickname 'The Rebels' is believed to originate from the town's historical support for the Parliamentarians during the English Civil War. The club's peak era saw them achieve promotion and compete strongly in the Isthmian League, with memorable FA Cup runs that brought national attention to the town. In recent years, Worthing has established itself as a competitive force in the National League South, playing an attractive, attacking style of football. The 2022-23 season was particularly historic, as the team secured promotion to the National League for the first time in its long history, a monumental achievement. The fan base is passionate and local, creating a vibrant atmosphere at Woodside Road, with the mascot, a rebel figure, adding to the matchday experience. Worthing FC stands as a proud community club on an exciting upward trajectory.
