Walsall Football Club is a professional English team based in the West Midlands, currently competing in EFL League Two, the fourth tier of the English football pyramid. Founded in 1888, the club plays its home matches at the Bescot Stadium, affectionately known to fans as the Banks's Stadium for sponsorship reasons. The Saddlers, as they are nicknamed, have spent much of their history oscillating between the third and fourth divisions, with a handful of seasons in the second tier.
