The team's home is the Cambuur Stadion, a modern arena known for its vibrant and loyal support. Founded in 1964, the club's colors are yellow and blue. Cambuur has a history of yo-yoing between the Eredivisie and the Eerste Divisie, embodying the classic "elevator club" narrative. Their most notable achievements include several promotions to the top flight, where they have provided memorable giant-killing acts, and a KNVB Cup final appearance in the 2012-13 season. The current squad is built to immediately challenge for promotion back to the top tier, featuring a mix of experienced Dutch professionals and exciting young talents. The Cambuur supporters, known for their fervent and colorful displays, create one of the best atmospheres in Dutch football.
