Team Info
Liverpool Women is a professional football club competing at the highest level of English women's football, the FA Women's Super League (WSL). Based in Liverpool, the team shares the historic association and global brand of its famed male counterpart, Liverpool FC, and plays home matches at Prenton Park, the stadium of Tranmere Rovers. The women's side was formally relaunched under the Liverpool FC banner in the modern era, aiming to restore the club to the pinnacle of the women's game. The team's history includes early domestic successes, and a key modern era achievement was winning the Women's Championship in 2022 to secure promotion back to the WSL. The current squad, managed by Matt Beard, features a mix of experienced internationals and exciting young talents, playing an aggressive, high-pressing style reminiscent of the Liverpool philosophy. The fan base is growing rapidly, with supporters creating a vibrant atmosphere, proudly carrying the "You'll Never Walk Alone" ethos into the women's game as the team establishes itself as a competitive force in the top flight.
