Team Info

FC Otelul Galati is a Romanian professional football club from the city of Galați, competing in the Super Liga. Founded in 1964, the team plays its home games at the Stadionul Oțelul, a venue synonymous with the club's identity. Their traditional colors are white and blue. Otelul's name, meaning "The Steel," reflects the city's industrial heritage. The club's golden era arrived in the 2010-11 season under the management of Dorinel Munteanu, when they achieved a stunning and historic Romanian Liga I championship. That title-winning campaign, built on a formidable defensive unit and team cohesion, remains the pinnacle of the club's history. In recent years, Otelul has navigated between the top flight and the second division, often serving as a tough opponent for more established sides. The loyal fan base, known for their passionate support, continues to fill the stadium, dreaming of a return to past glories for this proud club from the banks of the Danube.
