Team Info

Chindia Targoviste is a Romanian football club currently competing in the Liga II, the country's second division. The team is based in the city of Târgoviște and plays its home matches at the Stadionul Eugen Popescu, a venue with a capacity of over 8,000. Founded in 2010 following a merger, the club's name "Chindia" references the famous Chindia Tower, a symbol of the city. The club quickly rose through the lower leagues, with its peak era arriving when it earned promotion to the top-flight Liga I, where it competed for several seasons and established itself as a tough opponent. The modern Chindia side is in a phase of rebuilding, aiming to secure promotion back to the first division. Recent seasons in Liga II have seen them as playoff contenders, relying on a mix of experienced Liga I veterans and promising local talents. The team culture is defined by a resilient and passionate fan base that supports the club through its journey up and down the divisions. Chindia Targoviste represents a modern football project in Romania, with ambitions to become a stable presence in the higher echelons of the game.
