Team Info
Centro Sportivo Alagoano, commonly known as CSA, is a traditional club from Maceió, Alagoas, currently competing in the Brazilian Série C. The *Azulão* (Big Blue) plays its home games at the Estádio Rei Pelé, a fitting venue for a club with such history. Founded in 1913, CSA is one of the oldest clubs in the northeast. The club enjoyed its greatest success in the late 1970s and early 1980s, winning the Campeonato Alagoano consistently and making a famous run to the final of the Brazilian Série A in 1979, finishing as runners-up. This period remains the pinnacle of their history. After some difficult years, CSA has recently re-established itself, earning promotion back to Série C and aiming for a return to Série B. The club boasts one of the most passionate fan bases in the region, with matches at the Rei Pelé providing a tremendous atmosphere. CSA is a historic club working to reclaim its place among Brazil's competitive sides.
