Team Info

CD Barquereno is a Spanish football club from the parish of Barquera in the municipality of San Vicente de la Barquera, Cantabria. Competing in the Tercera División RFEF, the club plays its matches at the Campo Municipal de Barquera, with views of the picturesque Cantabrian coast. The club's name is a demonym for people from Barquera. Founded to represent the fishing community, its history is intertwined with the ebb and flow of regional football. Gaining and maintaining a place in the Tercera RFEF is a significant achievement, providing regular football against clubs from across northern Spain. A memorable period for the club might include a successful derby season against other Cantabrian teams or a giant-killing act in the early rounds of the Copa del Rey. The current team is a mix of local stalwarts and players from the surrounding area, known for their work ethic and resilience. The supporters are passionate and community-focused, with match days being a central social event. CD Barquereno carries the flag for its small but proud coastal community in the competitive landscape of Spanish football.
