Team Info

Buzios is a Brazilian football club based in the city of Rio Branco, competing in the Campeonato Acreano, the top state league of the Acre state. The team is named after the famous beach neighborhood of Búzios in Rio de Janeiro, reflecting an interesting cultural connection. Their home matches are played at the Arena da Floresta. Founded to add to the competitive landscape of Acreano football, Buzios has established itself as a participant in the state championship. While not traditionally one of the dominant forces like Rio Branco or Atlético Acreano, the club has had seasons where they challenged for a spot in the latter stages of the tournament. The modern era sees Buzios aiming to consistently finish in the top half of the table and secure qualification for national competitions like the Brasileiro Série D. The club enjoys a niche but passionate following. Buzios adds a unique flavor to the football culture of the Amazon region.
