They play their home matches at the Prince Louis Rwagasore Stadium in Bujumbura. Governed by the Football Federation of Burundi, the team wears green and white. Burundi's football history has been one of striving for recognition on the continental stage. Although they exited at the group stage, it represented significant progress. The modern squad features a blend of domestic-based players and diaspora talents from clubs across Europe and Africa. Key figures like striker Saido Berahino, who opted to represent Burundi, have brought experience and quality. The team plays with passion and resilience, embodying the hopes of their nation, and continues to aim for regular qualification for major tournaments.
