Team Info

Braintree Town FC, known as the Iron, is a semi-professional football club based in Braintree, Essex, competing in the National League South. The club was formed in 1898 and plays its home games at the Cressing Road Stadium. Their traditional colors are black and white stripes. The club spent many years in the Isthmian League before a golden period in the 2010s saw them achieve promotion to the National League Premier and compete stably at that level for several seasons, including a memorable run to the FA Trophy final in 2022. Recent seasons have seen them back in the National League South, consistently aiming for a return to the top tier of non-league. The club is known for its resilience and strong community ties, with a loyal core of supporters. Braintree Town remains a well-respected and competitive force in non-league football.
