The team competes in the Spanish Primera División RFEF, the third tier of Spanish football, and plays its home matches at the Estadio Santo Domingo. Founded in 1971, the club has historically worn yellow and blue. Alcorcon is famously known for its remarkable 2009-10 Copa del Rey run, where as a Segunda División B side they sensationally defeated giants Real Madrid 4-0 on aggregate, a result that immortalized the 'Alcorconazo' in football folklore.
