3. Sweden Damallsvenskan: Brommapojkarna Women 4–2 IK Uppsala Women
Brommapojkarna Women consolidated their place in the upper half of the Damallsvenskan table with an emphatic 4-2 victory over IK Uppsala Women at Grimsta IP.
It took just eight minutes for the hosts to open the scoring. Winger Filippa Curmark drove into the box and was brought down for a penalty, which club captain Stina Lennartsson coolly converted. Uppsala equalised against the run of play in the 23rd minute, as forward Nellie Lilja swept home a cross from the right.
But Brommapojkarna roared back. Before half-time, a stunning solo effort from midfielder Hanna Wijk restored the lead. Picking up the ball on the halfway line, she dribbled past three defenders before slotting home. Early in the second half, a powerful header from defender Maja Krantz made it 3-1.
Uppsala pulled one back through a deflected shot from Ebba Hed in the 78th minute, setting up a tense finish. However, Brommapojkarna sealed the win in stoppage time when substitute Olivia Lindgren tapped in from close range after a goalmouth scramble.
The win moves Brommapojkarna up to 5th in the Damallsvenskan, while Uppsala remain in 10th, still battling to avoid relegation.
