Saint Mirren produced a ruthless attacking display to thrash Cove Rangers 4‑0 at Balmoral Stadium, sending a clear statement to the rest of the group. The Premiership side were dominant from the first whistle and never looked back.

First Half Masterclass

The visitors took the lead in the 12th minute when Conor McCarthy rose highest to head home a corner. Within 20 minutes, Saint Mirren were 3‑0 up: Toyosi Olusanya pounced on a defensive mistake, and then Jonah Ayunga curled in a beauty from the edge of the box. Cove Rangers were shell‑shocked.

Second Half Consolidation

After the break, Saint Mirren controlled the pace. Substitute Kieran Offord added a fourth in the 78th minute, tapping in from a low cross. Cove rarely threatened, and Saint Mirren keeper Trevor Carson was a spectator for large spells.
