Jakobstads Bollklubb produced the most emphatic result of the Ykkonen weekend, sweeping past FC Vaajakoski with a 4-0 victory on 1 August 2026. The home side were simply irresistible, combining slick passing with clinical finishing to dismantle their opponents in front of a delighted crowd in Pietarsaari.

Early breakthrough sets the tone

Jakobstads Bollklubb needed just nine minutes to take the lead. A patient sequence of short passes opened up the FC Vaajakoski defence, and a low cross from the right found its way to the far post, where the JBK winger applied a simple finish from two metres out. The home side never looked back after that early opener, and their confidence grew with every passing minute.

The second goal arrived before the break, this time from a beautifully struck free-kick that curled over the defensive wall and dipped under the bar. The visitors' goalkeeper had no chance, and the scoreline was a fair reflection of JBK's dominance by that stage.

Second-half polish

FC Vaajakoski showed greater ambition after the interval, pressing higher and attempting to win back possession in dangerous areas. However, this only created more space for JBK to exploit on the counter-attack. The hosts made it 3-0 shortly after the hour mark with a sweeping move that began in their own defensive third and involved four players before the ball was slid into the net from the edge of the box.

The fourth and final goal came in the closing stages, after a sustained spell of pressure was finally rewarded with a poacher's finish from a corner. It was a fitting end to a display that combined attacking intent with defensive discipline.
