Dinamo Saint Petersburg 1–2 FC Murom
Russian Third Division B (RUS D3B) | July 25, 2026, 19:00 local

FC Murom snatched a dramatic away victory at Dinamo Saint Petersburg, coming from behind to win 2–1 and strengthen their push for the top half of the Russian Third Division B table. The hosts, who had led early, were left to rue a costly defensive lapse in the second half.

Dinamo take the lead

Dinamo Saint Petersburg started brightly on home turf and opened the scoring in the 14th minute. Forward Ilya Kuznetsov collected a long ball over the top and held off his marker before firing low into the far corner. Dinamo dominated possession in the first half but could not extend their lead, with Murom goalkeeper Andrei Smirnov producing a sharp save from a close-range header.

Murom turn the tide

The visitors grew into the game after the interval and equalised in the 53rd minute. A well-worked free kick routine ended with midfielder Sergei Ivanov drilling a shot through a crowded box. Murom smelled blood and pushed forward. The winner came in the 78th minute when a corner was cleared only as far as winger Dmitri Volkov, who smashed a half-volley into the net from the edge of the area.

Table implications

The victory moved FC Murom up to seventh place in the RUS D3B standings, within four points of the top three. Dinamo Saint Petersburg dropped to 11th, now six points clear of the relegation zone but with an inconsistent run of form. Murom will look to continue their climb when they host a mid-table opponent next week, while Dinamo face a crucial away fixture against a direct rival.
