Qingdao West Coast Women 0-0 Chongqing Women | CFA Women's League One | July 20, 2026

Qingdao West Coast Women and Chongqing Women played out a stalemate in a rain-soaked encounter at the Qingdao Sports Center. Despite both teams showing ambition, a combination of solid defending and poor finishing ensured the match ended goalless, leaving each side with a point in the CFA Women's League One.

Match Overview

The match began at a frantic pace, with Qingdao trying to impose themselves early. However, Chongqing's defense, marshaled by experienced center-back Li Meng, proved difficult to break down. As the rain intensified in the second half, passing became sloppy, and chances were at a premium.

Key Moments

• 17th Minute: Qingdao forward Wang Shuang fired a low shot from the edge of the box that was comfortably saved by Chongqing goalkeeper Zhang Rui.
• 52nd Minute: Chongqing's best opportunity came when a corner fell to Liu Yang, but her volley was blocked on the line by a Qingdao defender.
• 79th Minute: A rare mistake in the Chongqing defense let Qingdao's substitute Sun Lin in on goal, but she sliced her effort wide under pressure.

Tactical Story

Qingdao West Coast set up in a 4-3-3 with emphasis on wide play, but Chongqing's full-backs were disciplined. The visitors played a compact 4-4-2, absorbing pressure and looking for counter-attacks through pacey forward Ma Xiaoxu. The midfield battle was even, with both sides winning second balls but lacking the final touch.

Standout Players

• Li Meng (Chongqing): The defender was a commanding presence, winning aerial duels and organizing the backline.
• Zhang Rui (Chongqing): The goalkeeper's clean sheet was earned with a series of assured saves and good command of her box.

Season Impact

Qingdao West Coast will be frustrated not to have taken three points at home, while Chongqing will be pleased with a hard-earned point on the road. Both teams remain in the middle of the CFA Women's League One table, with work to do to close the gap on the leaders.
