Veljko Simić
Sabah Baku/F/
Player Info
Veljko Simić is a Serbian attacking midfielder whose creativity and eye for goal have seen him play in several countries, currently featuring for Sabah Baku in Azerbaijan. Born on February 17, 1995, the 31-year-old is versatile across the attacking line, comfortable on either wing or in a central playmaking role. Simić started his career at Vojvodina before moving to Italy to join Chievo Verona. Loan spells at various Italian clubs helped him develop, but it was a move to Slovenia's NK Maribor where he found consistent success, winning league titles and participating in the UEFA Europa League. His technical skills, dribbling ability, and capacity to score from distance make him a constant threat in the final third. Now applying his trade in Azerbaijan, Simić brings a wealth of European experience to his team. Although not a regular for the Serbian national team, he remains a highly skilled operator capable of moments of magic that can change a game.
