Sherif Ekramy
Pyramids FC/G/
Player Info
Sherif Ekramy stands as one of Egypt's most accomplished and experienced goalkeepers of his generation, a stalwart between the posts known for his leadership and crucial saves. His career began at Al Ahly, Egypt's most successful club, but he truly rose to prominence during two lengthy spells with Ismaily SC, where he became a fan favourite and a club legend, making hundreds of appearances. Ekramy also had a brief stint in Europe with Swiss side FC Sion. His greatest successes, however, came after returning to Al Ahly, where he won multiple Egyptian Premier League titles and CAF Champions League trophies, establishing himself as the first-choice goalkeeper for one of Africa's biggest clubs. Internationally, he was a key member of the Egyptian national team, serving as a backup during their Africa Cup of Nations triumphs in the late 2000s and earning several caps. Now with Pyramids FC, he brings vast experience to a ambitious project. Ekramy's style is characterized by excellent shot-stopping, command of his area, and a calming influence on his defence, cementing his status as a modern Egyptian goalkeeping great.
