Razak Boukari
Chateauroux/F/
Player Info
Razak Boukari is a Togolese winger whose career has been characterized by explosive pace and potential, though often hampered by persistent injury problems. Now 38, the Lomé-born attacker began in France with Châteauroux before a move to Lens brought him to wider attention. His performances earned him a transfer to the English Premier League with Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2012, but his time at Molineux was devastated by a series of serious injuries that limited him to just a handful of appearances. Boukari also had spells at Rennes and back at Châteauroux, but he struggled to ever regain the fitness and form of his early years. A regular for the Togo national team, he represented his country in the Africa Cup of Nations. His career remains a story of what might have been for a player whose raw speed promised so much.
