Paul Hanlon
Raith Rovers/D/
Player Info
Paul Hanlon is a commanding and loyal Scottish centre-back, a one-club man for the vast majority of his career who now brings his vast experience to Raith Rovers. The 36-year-old defender spent an incredible 17 years at Hibernian, rising from the academy to become club captain and a bona fide Easter Road legend. Hanlon made his Hibs debut in 2008 and went on to make over 500 appearances, playing a central role in the club's historic 2016 Scottish Cup victory, ending a 114-year drought. He also captained the side to promotion back to the Premiership in 2017 and lifted the 2021-22 Scottish League Cup. A left-footed defender strong in the air and composed in possession, Hanlon was a fixture in the SPFL Team of the Season discussions for years. After his emotional departure from Hibs in 2024, he joined Raith Rovers, immediately strengthening their defensive line with his organizational skills and winning mentality. His career epitomizes loyalty, leadership, and consistent top-level performance in Scottish football.
