Player Info
Gary Hooper is an English striker currently with Gulf United FC, best remembered for his prolific goal-scoring spells at Celtic and Sheffield Wednesday. Hooper's career took off at Scunthorpe United, but it was his move to Celtic in 2010 that defined him. He became a fan hero at Parkhead, scoring over 80 goals, winning multiple Scottish Premier League titles, and famously netting in a historic UEFA Champions League victory over Barcelona. A subsequent move to Norwich City brought him to the Premier League. A strong, intelligent finisher with excellent movement, Hooper's later career saw him become a key figure for Sheffield Wednesday before embarking on spells abroad and now in the UAE. While an England cap eluded him, Hooper’s legacy is that of a natural-born goalscorer who delivered silverware and memorable moments for every club he played for.
