Matchday Recap – Botola Pro
Olympique Dcheira 1–1 AS FAR Rabat
Olympique Dcheira earned a hard-fought 1–1 draw against league heavyweights AS FAR Rabat at Stade Adrar on Thursday evening. The result keeps Dcheira in mid‑table and maintains AS FAR’s push for the title, though the visitors will feel they dropped two points.
AS FAR Rabat dominated possession from the start and took a deserved lead in the 23rd minute. A slick passing move unlocked the Dcheira defence, and Reda Hajhouj slotted home from 12 yards after a clever one‑two with Hamza Igamane. The goal was Hajhouj’s seventh of the season, keeping him in the conversation for the Botola Pro Golden Boot.
Dcheira, however, refused to fold. Their equaliser arrived against the run of play in the 58th minute. A long throw into the box caused confusion among the AS FAR defenders, and Younes El Hadaoui pounced on the loose ball to fire a low shot into the bottom corner. The home crowd erupted as the underdogs levelled the score.
AS FAR pushed for a winner in the closing stages. Mohamed El Mourabit rattled the post with a free‑kick in the 82nd minute, and Ayoub El Kaabi saw his header cleared off the line two minutes later. Dcheira held firm with a gritty defensive display, securing a valuable point that moves them up to 11th in the table. AS FAR remain second, two points behind leaders Wydad Casablanca.
