Match Info

Landskrona BoIS made an emphatic statement in the Superettan promotion race with a convincing 3-1 away win over Norrby IF. The result further tightened their grip on a top-two position and underlined their credentials as one of the strongest sides in Sweden’s second tier during the 2026 season.

Match overview

The visitors started brightly and looked dangerous every time they advanced into the Norrby half. Landskrona’s early pressure was rewarded when a well-timed run from midfield was picked out by a precise through-ball, allowing the forward to slot the opener past the Norrby goalkeeper. Norrby responded well and pushed forward in search of an equaliser. Their effort was rewarded midway through the first half when a corner was headed back across goal and bundled in from close range. That briefly gave the hosts momentum, but Landskrona remained composed and continued to create chances on the counter.

BoIS pull clear in second half

After the interval, Landskrona regained control and struck twice inside the final half-hour. A quick break down the right flank produced the second goal, with the cross turned in at the back post. The third arrived from a set piece, as a powerful header found the top corner to put the game beyond Norrby’s reach. Norrby pushed forward until the end but rarely threatened a serious comeback. Landskrona’s defensive line handled the pressure well, and their goalkeeper was alert when called into action.

Superettan standings outlook

This victory moved Landskrona BoIS closer to automatic promotion from the Superettan. Their away form has been particularly encouraging, and they once again showed the clinical finishing and tactical discipline required to succeed at this level. For Norrby IF, the defeat was a frustrating setback in their own bid to climb the table. They showed fight and created moments of promise, but the defensive lapses proved costly against a side of Landskrona’s quality. With the Superettan season moving toward its decisive phase, the 3-1 victory is another sign that Landskrona BoIS intend to keep pushing at the top of the standings. Norrby, meanwhile, will be eager to bounce back quickly and sharpen their focus ahead of their next challenge.
