Start Kristiansand Women left with all three points after a disciplined 1-0 away victory over Odd BK Women in the Norwegian Women's 1. Divisjon on 13 September 2026. A single goal settled a closely contested match in which both sides worked hard but struggled to create clear-cut opportunities.

Match Overview

The 19:00 kick-off produced an energetic, physical contest typical of the Norwegian Women's 1. Divisjon, a division known for its intensity and competitive balance. Odd BK Women started with intent, pressing high and looking to force mistakes in the visitors' build-up, while Start Kristiansand were happy to keep their shape and strike on the break.

Chances were scarce in the opening half-hour as both defences held firm. The game developed into a midfield scrap, with possession changing hands frequently and neither goalkeeper seriously tested until the breakthrough arrived.

Key Moments

• The only goal: Start Kristiansand found the opener with a well-executed attacking sequence, finishing confidently to silence the home crowd.
• Odd's response: The hosts pushed forward in search of an equaliser, winning corners and free kicks in promising positions.
• Defensive resolve: Start's back line dealt with a series of crosses and long balls, clearing danger efficiently throughout the closing stages.
• Late drama: Odd threw bodies forward in the final minutes, but a combination of brave blocks and sharp goalkeeping kept the scoreline unchanged.

Tactical Story

The visitors' tactical discipline was the difference. Start Kristiansand defended as a unit, keeping their lines close and refusing to be dragged out of position by Odd's rotations. When they won the ball, they looked to release their wide players quickly, and it was from one such transition that the winning goal came.

Odd BK Women will be disappointed with their attacking output. They enjoyed more possession and territory in the second half but lacked penetration in the final third, with their crosses too often cleared by a well-organised defence. Set pieces, usually a strength, brought no reward on this occasion.

Standout Players

Start's goalscorer will take the plaudits, but the team's defensive spine deserved equal credit. The goalkeeper was alert and confident, claiming high balls and communicating well with her back four. The midfield worked tirelessly to screen the defence and break up Odd's rhythm.

For Odd BK Women, the left-sided attacker was their most persistent threat, beating her marker on several occasions and delivering dangerous balls into the area. Their captain in midfield drove the team forward and never stopped running, even as the clock ran down.

Table and Season Impact

Road wins in the Norwegian Women's 1. Divisjon are hard-earned, and Start Kristiansand will value this one for its impact on both points and confidence. It keeps them in a strong position as the season progresses, while Odd BK Women must regroup quickly and rediscover the attacking fluency that has troubled other opponents.

The result serves as another reminder of how tight the division is, where a single goal so often decides the outcome and defensive organisation is the currency of success.
