Lisne 0 – 3 Skala 1911 Stryi
Ukrainian Second League – 23 May 2026
Skala 1911 Stryi put in a professional away performance to defeat Lisne 3-0 in the Ukrainian Second League, a result that strengthened their push for a top-half finish. The visitors controlled proceedings from start to finish, with Lisne offering little in attack throughout the ninety minutes.
Domination from the first whistle
Skala took the game to their hosts immediately, pressing high and forcing errors in the Lisne defence. The opening goal came in the 12th minute when a corner was headed home powerfully at the near post. Lisne struggled to build any rhythm, and Skala doubled their lead just before the half-hour mark through a well-taken volley from the edge of the area.
Lisne fail to create
The home side attempted to reorganise after the break but lacked creativity in the final third. Their best chance came from a set piece that was headed straight at the Skala goalkeeper. Meanwhile, Skala remained dangerous on the counter and sealed the victory with a third goal midway through the second half, a calm finish after a swift attacking move.
Defensive solidity the foundation
Skala’s back line was rarely troubled, keeping a clean sheet thanks to disciplined positioning and good communication. The midfield trio also impressed, breaking up play and distributing efficiently to the forwards. Lisne, by contrast, will be concerned by their inability to test the opposition goalkeeper – a recurring issue in recent weeks.
Standings picture
With this victory, Skala 1911 Stryi edge closer to the top five in the Ukrainian Second League. Lisne remain in the lower reaches of the table and face a battle to avoid being dragged into a relegation scrap. Upcoming fixtures will test both sides’ resolve as the season progresses toward its crucial stages.
