Dangjin Citizen 1–2 Changwon City
Korean K League 3 | 6 June 2026

Changwon City claimed a valuable away victory over Dangjin Citizen at Dangjin Stadium, coming from behind to win 2–1. The result lifts the visitors into the top half of the K League 3 standings, while Dangjin remain in the relegation zone.

Fast Start for Dangjin

Dangjin Citizen opened the scoring inside ten minutes through striker Jung Woo‑young. A long ball over the top caught the Changwon defence off guard, and Jung controlled superbly before chipping the advancing goalkeeper. The home crowd were buoyant, but their lead lasted only 18 minutes.

Changwon Hit Back in Style

Changwon City equalised in the 28th minute when midfielder Kim Dae‑ho fired a low drive from 25 yards that took a slight deflection and nestled in the bottom corner. The goal gave the visitors momentum, and they completed the turnaround just before half‑time. A well‑worked set piece saw defender Lee Sang‑min rise highest to head home from a free‑kick delivery.

Second Half Control

Dangjin pushed hard for an equaliser after the break, but Changwon’s disciplined defensive shape limited clear chances. Goalkeeper Park Jung‑soo made two crucial saves to preserve the lead. At the other end, Changwon almost added a third on the counter but were denied by the post.

Key Players

Kim Dae‑ho was named man of the match for his goal and all‑round midfield display. For Dangjin, Jung Woo‑young’s early strike was a highlight, but the team lacked the cutting edge needed to recover.

What It Means

Changwon City climb to fifth place with nine points from six games, while Dangjin Citizen stay 15th with just four points. The pressure is mounting on Dangjin manager Kim Jin‑kyu to turn results around.
