Tactical Story

Drenica Skenderaj used a direct 4-2-3-1, often looking for their striker early and then supporting with runners from midfield. Their equaliser came from that approach, and their second goal was a textbook counter-attack. Feronikeli 74 preferred to keep the ball on the ground, using their full-backs to create overlaps and their playmaker to find pockets of space between the lines.

The tactical battle was fascinating. Feronikeli dominated possession for long spells, but Drenica’s defensive resilience and ability to break quickly kept them in the game. In the end, both managers will have mixed feelings: Feronikeli created enough to win, while Drenica will be pleased with their fighting spirit but disappointed to concede late.

Standout Performers

Feronikeli’s right winger was a constant threat, scoring one goal and assisting the other with a series of dangerous crosses. Drenica’s centre-forward led the line superbly, holding the ball up and bringing others into play, while their goalkeeper made two important saves. The Drenica captain in midfield also set the tempo with his range of passing.

Season Impact

The draw keeps both teams in the chasing pack of the Kosovo Superliga. For FC Feronikeli 74, it extends a useful unbeaten run and shows their ability to score in different ways. KF Drenica Skenderaj remain tough to beat at home, but they will need to tighten up defensively if they are to push for a higher finish. With the league table still tightly packed, every point could matter in the race for European places and survival alike.
