Sanfrecce produced a stunning away performance, with a hat-trick from Haruka Sato powering them to a comprehensive victory over one of the competition's traditional powers.

Match Overview

INAC Kobe Leonessa, known for their possession-based style, started as favourites but were undone by Sanfrecce's ruthless efficiency. The visitors sat back, absorbed pressure, and then struck with devastating counter-attacks. The scoreline flattered Sanfrecce slightly, but their clinical finishing and disciplined defending were undeniable.

Key Moments

• 18th minute: Haruka Sato opened the scoring with a low drive after a swift break down the left.
• 52nd minute: Sato doubled the lead, converting a cross from the right with a first-time finish.
• 78th minute: Sato completed her hat-trick from the penalty spot after a foul in the box.
• 89th minute: INAC's best chance fell to Mina Tanaka, but her effort hit the post.

Tactical Story

INAC dominated possession with their 4-3-3, but Sanfrecce's 4-4-2 mid-block limited space in the final third. The visitors' game plan was clear: defend deep, win the ball, and release Sato and her strike partner on the break. It worked to perfection. INAC's midfield struggled to cope with Sanfrecce's quick transitions, and their defence was repeatedly exposed.

Standout Performers

Sato was simply unstoppable, showcasing her pace, finishing, and movement. Sanfrecce goalkeeper Yui Nakamura made several key saves to preserve the clean sheet. For INAC, Tanaka worked tirelessly but was well marshalled by the visiting defence.

Season Impact

The win sends Sanfrecce Hiroshima Regina into the next stage of the Nadeshiko League Cup with real momentum, while INAC Kobe Leonessa must regroup quickly. The result blows the group wide open and serves as a warning that Sanfrecce are serious contenders. INAC's cup hopes now depend on other results and a strong response in their remaining fixtures.
