PSV Eindhoven claimed a dominant 3‑0 victory over local rivals FC Eindhoven in a pre‑season friendly played behind closed doors at the Philips Stadion. The Eredivisie giants wasted no time in asserting their superiority, with striker Luuk de Jong opening the scoring in the 15th minute with a trademark header from a corner.

Midfielder Joey Veerman doubled the lead just before half‑time, curling a beautiful free‑kick over the wall and into the top corner. The win was sealed in the 82nd minute when young substitute Jason van Duiven pounced on a defensive error to slot home the third. PSV dominated possession and created numerous chances, while FC Eindhoven rarely threatened the home goal.

“It was a professional performance,” said PSV manager Peter Bosz. “We controlled the game from start to finish. The fitness levels are improving and the players are understanding the system better every day.” FC Eindhoven’s boss Rob Penders admitted the gap in quality was clear: “We knew it would be tough, but we can take lessons from tonight. The boys worked hard and we’ll be better for it.”

The victory marks PSV’s third of pre‑season and builds momentum ahead of the new Eredivisie season, while FC Eindhoven continue their preparation for the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.
