IK Brage 2–4 Östersunds FK | Superettan | 14 May 2026
Östersunds FK produced a stunning second‑half performance to come from behind and defeat IK Brage 4‑2 at the Domnarvsvallen stadium, climbing the Superettan table in emphatic fashion. After trailing 1‑0 at half‑time, the visitors scored four times in a 25‑minute spell to secure a comprehensive victory.
First half: Brage take early lead
Brage started brightly and took the lead in the 14th minute through striker Anton Hensiek. A long ball from goalkeeper Viktor Frodig was headed on by midfielder Jesper Johansson, allowing Hensiek to run clear and slot past Östersunds goalkeeper Aly Keita. Brage controlled much of the first half, with winger Erik Nilsson causing problems down the left, but they failed to extend their lead.
Second‑half onslaught
Östersunds emerged from the interval a transformed side. Midfielder Simon Kroon equalised in the 52nd minute, heading home a corner from Marcus Astvald. Just four minutes later, winger Dino Islamovic put the visitors ahead with a composed finish after a counter‑attack. Striker Samir Abbas made it 3‑1 in the 64th minute with a powerful strike from the edge of the box, and Islamovic added his second of the night in the 77th minute, rounding off a flowing team move. Brage pulled one back in stoppage time through substitute Leo Persson, but the game was long decided.
Tactical story
Brage’s 4‑3‑3 looked promising in the first half, but they were overrun in central midfield after the break. Östersunds switched to a more aggressive 4‑2‑3‑1, with Kroon and Astvald controlling the tempo. The visitors’ pressing forced Brage into mistakes, and their quick transitions proved decisive.
Standout performers
- Dino Islamovic – two goals and a constant threat on the counter.
- Simon Kroon – scored the equaliser and drove the team forward.
- Marcus Astvald – provided the assist for Kroon and anchored midfield.
Impact on the table
The win moved Östersunds FK up to 6th place in the Superettan, now level on points with the top four. IK Brage slipped to 9th, missing the chance to break into the promotion race. The victory marks Östersunds’ third straight win and signals their ambition to challenge for promotion to Allsvenskan.
