United States Women's National Soccer League | September 7, 2026

Denver Summit W delivered a statement performance with a dominant 3–0 victory over NJ/NY Gotham FC Women. The result underlined the home side’s growing reputation as one of the most dangerous attacking teams in the league, while Gotham FC were left to reflect on a difficult afternoon away from home.

First Half Control

Denver started brightly and took the game to their visitors from the opening minutes. High pressing forced early errors from Gotham, and the home side soon converted that territorial advantage into a deserved lead. A sweeping move down the left wing ended with a precise finish from close range, sending the home crowd into raptures.

The goal gave Denver confidence, and they continued to probe the Gotham back line. The visitors struggled to keep hold of the ball in midfield, and every Denver attack carried real menace. A second goal just before the interval effectively settled the contest.

Second Half Consolidation

After the break, Denver managed the game maturely. Gotham attempted to regain a foothold through substitutions and a higher defensive line, but Denver’s back four remained composed. The third goal arrived midway through the half following a well-rehearsed corner routine, with a towering header sealing a commanding scoreline.

Gotham never stopped competing but were largely restricted to shots from distance. Denver goalkeeper remained alert to deal with the few moments of danger and was rewarded with a well-earned clean sheet.
