FC Meshakhte Tkibuli 0–2 Dila Gori
Georgia Erovnuli Liga – 10 May 2026
Dila Gori continued their strong push for a European place with a comfortable 2-0 away victory over relegation-threatened FC Meshakhte Tkibuli at the Tkibuli Municipal Stadium. Two first-half goals were enough to settle the contest, as the visitors dominated from start to finish.
Dominant Start
Dila Gori took the lead in the 14th minute through Giorgi Moistsrapashvili. The winger cut inside from the left flank and curled a beautiful shot into the top corner, leaving home goalkeeper Luka Khurtsidze with no chance. Meshakhte tried to respond but were constantly second best in midfield.
Second Goal Seals Victory
The visitors doubled their advantage in the 37th minute. A corner from the right was flicked on at the near post, and Nika Ninua was on hand to stab the ball home from close range for his fourth goal of the season. Meshakhte had a golden chance to pull one back just before the break, but striker Davit Sikharulidze fired wide from eight yards.
Second-Half Control
Dila Gori were content to manage the game after halftime, keeping possession and denying Meshakhte any momentum. The home side’s only real chance came in the 71st minute when a long-range effort from substitute Giorgi Paghava was tipped over the bar by Dila goalkeeper Oto Gvelesiani. The visitors saw out the remaining minutes with ease.
Man of the Match
Giorgi Moistsrapashvili was the most dangerous player on the pitch, scoring one goal and creating two other chances. His dribbling and pace caused constant problems for the Meshakhte defence.
League Context
The victory lifted Dila Gori to third in the Erovnuli Liga standings, just two points behind second-placed Saburtalo in the race for a Europa Conference League spot. FC Meshakhte Tkibuli remain rooted to the bottom of the table, four points from safety with seven matches left, making their survival task increasingly difficult.
