FK Buducnost Banovici 2–2 Vitez: Stalemate Keeps Mid-Table Rivals in Mix

FK Buducnost Banovici and Vitez played out an entertaining 2–2 draw at the Stadion Banovici on 7 June 2026 in the BIH PL-FBiH. The result did little to separate the two mid-table sides but provided plenty of drama for the neutral.

Buducnost began the game with purpose and took the lead in the 14th minute. A flowing move saw the ball worked to the edge of the area, where a crisp first-time strike flew into the top corner. The home fans were celebrating again just before the half-hour mark when a defensive error allowed the Buducnost forward to nip in and slot home, making it 2–0.

Vitez, however, responded positively. They reduced the deficit in the 35th minute with a well-placed header from a corner kick. The goal gave Vitez belief, and they dominated the early stages of the second half. Their equaliser came in the 61st minute after a sustained period of pressure. A low cross was turned in at the far post to make it 2–2.

Both teams pushed for a winner in the final 20 minutes, but clear-cut chances were at a premium. The draw means both Buducnost Banovici and Vitez remain in the middle of the FBiH league table, with safety all but assured but little to play for in the remaining fixtures.

Buducnost will be disappointed to have let a two-goal lead slip, while Vitez will be pleased with their resilience on the road.
