PK-35 Vantaa produced a stunning 5-0 demolition of JaPS in the Finnish Ykkösliiga on 12 June 2026 at the Myyrmäen jalkapallostadion. The visitors were utterly dominant, scoring three goals in the first half and two after the break to record their biggest away win of the season.
First Half Fireworks
PK-35 Vantaa started with relentless intensity. They opened the scoring in the 9th minute when striker Eetu Väkiparta latched onto a through ball and fired past the JaPS goalkeeper. The lead was doubled in the 22nd minute when a corner kick was headed home by defender Juuso Karjalainen.
JaPS struggled to cope with PK-35's pressing and movement. The third goal came in the 38th minute, a fine individual effort from wielder Santeri Hänninen, who dribbled past three defenders before slotting into the bottom corner. The home crowd at Myyrmäki were stunned into silence.
Second Half Control
PK-35 continued their dominance after the interval. A fourth goal arrived in the 56th minute when midfielder Oskari Laakso curled a free-kick over the wall and into the net. The fifth came in the 73rd minute, substitute Aleksi Aro slotting home a rebound after a blistering counter-attack.
JaPS had no answer. Their best chance came in the 68th minute when a shot from distance forced a save from PK-35 goalkeeper Aapo Kukkonen, but otherwise they were restricted to long-range efforts.
Record margin: This was PK-35 Vantaa's largest victory over JaPS in the Ykkösliiga. They have now scored 5+ goals in two matches this season.
League Implications
The emphatic win moves PK-35 Vantaa to 3rd place in the Ykkösliiga standings with 24 points from 13 matches, now just three points behind leaders JIPPO. JaPS remain in 8th place on 15 points, having now lost four of their last five home games.
PK-35 manager Teemu Hänninen was delighted after the match: "We were clinical, organised, and showed real quality. This is the standard we must maintain." JaPS coach Jarkko Tuominen admitted, "We were outplayed in every department. A very disappointing afternoon."
The five-goal haul sends a clear message: PK-35 Vantaa are serious promotion contenders in the 2026 Ykkösliiga campaign.
