Salon Palloilijat 4–2 TPV Tampere
Finnish Ykkonen – 23 May 2026
Salon Palloilijat (SalPa) powered past TPV Tampere 4–2 in an entertaining Ykkonen fixture at the Salon Urheilupuisto. The home side’s attacking verve proved too much for a TPV side that fought back twice but ultimately fell short in a six-goal thriller.
Match Summary
SalPa came flying out of the blocks, scoring twice in the opening 20 minutes to take control. TPV responded with a goal before half-time, but SalPa regained their two-goal cushion shortly after the break. Despite another TPV reply, the hosts sealed the victory late on with a well-taken fourth.
Goal Sequence
- 8th minute – SalPa’s leading scorer, Santeri Lehtonen, pounced on a loose ball in the box and fired low into the corner for 1–0.
- 18th minute – Midfielder Joonas Kinnunen doubled the lead with a powerful strike from outside the area that took a deflection.
- 35th minute – TPV pulled one back through forward Antti-Jussi Järvinen, who headed in from a corner.
- 55th minute – Lehtonen struck again, finishing a quick counter-attack with a composed shot past the goalkeeper for 3–1.
- 68th minute – TPV’s top scorer, Eero Voutilainen, made it 3–2 with a close-range finish after a scramble in the box.
- 83rd minute – Substitute Rasmus Mäkelä sealed the win for SalPa, slotting home from a cutback after a solo run down the left.
Player of the Match
Santeri Lehtonen was the difference-maker for SalPa, scoring twice and causing constant problems with his pace and finishing. His movement off the ball created space for teammates and he took his chances clinically.
Table Context
SalPa’s victory moves them up to fifth in the Ykkonen standings, now level on points with the playoff zone. TPV remain in 10th place, just two points above the relegation places, and need to tighten their defence – they have now conceded 14 goals in their last five matches.
