Millonarios delivered one of their most complete attacking performances of the Categoría Primera A season, defeating Jaguares de Córdoba 4-1 at the Estadio Nemesio Camacho El Campín on October 18, 2026. A dominant first-half display and a brace from Juan Esteban Carvajal helped the Bogotá giants climb into the upper reaches of the table.

Match Overview

Millonarios set the tone from the opening whistle, pressing Jaguares high and forcing turnovers in dangerous areas. The visitors attempted to defend in a deep block, but Millonarios’ quick ball circulation and overlapping fullbacks repeatedly created space between the lines. By the time Jaguares adjusted, the home side had already established a two-goal cushion.

Key Moments

• 11’ – Millonarios open the scoring: Carvajal received the ball on the edge of the box, shifted onto his left foot, and curled a precise finish into the bottom corner.
• 33’ – Doubling the lead: Ramiro Sánchez finished a flowing move down the right, converting a low cross at the near post.
• 54’ – Jaguares pull one back: A converted penalty gave the visitors brief hope and forced Millonarios to reassert control.
• 69’ – Carvajal strikes again: The forward restored the two-goal margin with a close-range finish after a goalmouth scramble.
• 86’ – Fourth goal: Daniel Rojas completed the scoring with a composed finish on the counter.

Tactical Story

Millonarios’ high press was the foundation of the win. Jaguares struggled to play through midfield, and every loose touch seemed to trigger another blue-and-white attack. The home side’s wide players pinned back Jaguares’ fullbacks, allowing Millonarios to attack through central corridors. Jaguares’ penalty briefly changed the mood, but Millonarios responded with maturity rather than panic.

Standout Performers

Carvajal was the obvious headline-maker, with two goals and constant movement that unsettled the Jaguares back line. Rojas added creativity and a late goal, while Millonarios’ midfield controlled the rhythm of the match. Jaguares’ goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score respectable, but the visitors rarely threatened from open play.

Season Impact

The three points strengthen Millonarios’ bid for a top-four finish and reinforce their reputation as one of the most dangerous attacking sides in the division. For Jaguares, the defeat leaves little room for error in the relegation battle. Millonarios will hope this performance becomes a benchmark as the season enters its decisive phase.
