Matchday Recap – Botola Pro

Wydad Casablanca 1–2 FUS Rabat

A dramatic second‑half turnaround saw FUS Rabat stun Wydad Casablanca 2–1 at the Stade Mohammed V, ending Wydad’s four‑match winning streak and blowing the title race wide open. The result hands FUS a huge boost in their own push for continental qualification.

Wydad started with purpose and took the lead in the 31st minute. A pinpoint cross from Yahya Attiyat Allah found the head of Jalal Daoudi at the far post, and Daoudi directed his effort past the FUS goalkeeper. Wydad dominated the remainder of the first half but failed to add a second, with Soufiane Rahimi seeing a goalbound shot blocked on the line.

FUS Rabat emerged a different side after the break. They pressed higher and began to win second balls in midfield. The equaliser came in the 63rd minute when Anas El Ghrib curled a stunning free‑kick into the top corner from 25 yards. The visitors grew in confidence, and the winner arrived with ten minutes remaining. A swift counter‑attack ended with Mohamed Amine El Haddad slotting home after a defensive lapse from Wydad.

Wydad pushed for an equaliser in stoppage time, but FUS goalkeeper Mehdi El Yousfi made two vital saves to secure the three points. The defeat means Wydad stay top of the Botola Pro on goal difference, while FUS Rabat climb to fourth. The result sends a clear warning that the title race is far from decided.
