Hassania Agadir Claim Narrow 1-0 Win Over Renaissance de Berkane
Match Date: June 14, 2026 | League: The Botola Pro
Hassania Agadir moved closer to mid-table security with a disciplined 1-0 home victory over Renaissance de Berkane at the Stade Adrar. A first-half goal from forward Anas Aziz proved enough to separate the sides in a contest dominated by defensive organisation.
The match began cautiously, with both teams wary of committing too many players forward. Agadir’s breakthrough came in the 31st minute when midfielder Hicham Boussouf played a perfectly timed through ball to Aziz, who beat the offside trap and finished low past Berkane goalkeeper Oussama El Filali. The goal was Aziz’s fifth of the season, making him Agadir’s top scorer.
Berkane responded by controlling possession (62% overall) but lacked cutting edge in the final third. Their best chance came in the 74th minute when substitute Chouaib El Kaabakibi headed wide from a corner. Agadir’s defence, led by veteran centre-back Abdelmajid Oulad Ali, stood firm and restricted Berkane to only two shots on target.
The win moved Hassania Agadir to 27 points, six clear of the relegation zone. For Renaissance de Berkane, the defeat halted a three-match unbeaten run and left them in seventh place, six points outside the African competition places. Agadir’s manager praised his team's resilience, noting that "clean sheets are the foundation of safety."
Agadir will travel to Chabab Mohammedia next week, while Berkane host Raja Club Athletic in a crucial encounter for their continental ambitions.
