Shahter Taganrog delivered a resounding attacking display at home on 29 August 2026, overpowering Dinamo-2 Makhachkala 4-2 in a lively Russian Third League Division B encounter. The match, played under the lights with a 22:00 kickoff, saw Taganrog race into a commanding lead before holding off a spirited second-half response from the visitors. The result strengthens Shahter's push up the early-season standings and underlines their status as one of the most dangerous attacking sides in the division.

Match Overview

From the opening whistle, Shahter Taganrog pressed high and forced Dinamo-2 Makhachkala into repeated errors. The home side's intensity was rewarded with a succession of goals, as their forward line exploited the spaces behind the Makhachkala defence. By the interval, Taganrog had built a healthy cushion, and although Dinamo-2 showed character after the break, the damage had already been done.

Dinamo-2 Makhachkala, the reserve side of the Dagestani professional club, did manage to pull two goals back and briefly threatened an unlikely comeback. But Shahter's fourth goal sealed a deserved victory and gave the home fans plenty to celebrate on a warm August evening in Taganrog.

Key Moments

• Early dominance: Shahter Taganrog opened the scoring inside the first half-hour, setting the tone for a night of relentless attacking football.
• Quickfire double: Two further goals before the break put the home side firmly in control and left Dinamo-2 with a mountain to climb.
• Visitors' response: Dinamo-2 Makhachkala pulled two goals back in the second half, briefly making the contest competitive again.
• Decisive fourth: Taganrog restored their two-goal cushion with a well-worked team goal, killing off any hopes of a late Makhachkala revival.

Standout Players

Shahter's attacking quartet was in sparkling form, with the wide players repeatedly isolating the Dinamo-2 full-backs. The home side's central midfield also controlled the tempo, keeping possession and dictating play after the visitors' early attempts to press. For Dinamo-2, the two goalscorers showed composure in front of goal and can take encouragement from the team's fighting spirit in the second half.

Season Impact

The 4-2 victory gives Shahter Taganrog a valuable three points in the Russian Third League Division B standings. With the season still taking shape, home wins such as this are crucial for building momentum and confidence. Dinamo-2 Makhachkala, meanwhile, will look to tighten up defensively after conceding four goals on the road, though their two-goal response offers a foundation to build upon in the coming fixtures.

For neutral observers, this was a thrilling advert for lower-league Russian football, featuring end-to-end action, individual brilliance, and a dramatic narrative arc. Shahter Taganrog's supporters will hope their team can maintain this level of attacking output as the season progresses.
