Temperley 4–1 Club Atletico Guemes
Estadio Alfredo Beranger, Temperley — June 15, 2026
Temperley delivered a scintillating attacking display to overwhelm Club Atletico Guemes 4-1 in a one-sided Primera Nacional contest. The home side’s relentless pressure and clinical finishing proved too much for a Guemes team that never found their footing.
Explosive First Half
Temperley came flying out of the blocks. Within the first 10 minutes, striker Matías Acosta had already forced a sharp save from the Guemes goalkeeper. The breakthrough came in the 17th minute when midfielder Federico Pérez curled a free kick over the wall and into the top corner. The Estadio Alfredo Beranger erupted.
Guemes equalised against the run of play in the 28th minute through a scrappy goal from a corner, but Temperley immediately regained control. Just four minutes later, Acosta restored the lead with a powerful header from a cross by Lucas Miranda. Before half-time, Temperley added a third when Pablo Rojas fired home from the edge of the area after a neat one-two.
Second-Half Control
Guemes had no answer to Temperley’s intensity in the second half. The hosts continued to create chances, and the fourth goal came in the 64th minute. A long ball over the top caught the Guemes defence napping, and substitute Juan Sosa raced through to slide the ball past the advancing keeper.
Guemes barely threatened after that, with Temperley’s backline marshalled by experienced captain Diego Martínez snuffing out any counter-attacks. The home side cruised to a comfortable victory, much to the delight of the 4,000-strong crowd.
Standout Performances
