Team Info
Kolossos Rodou B.C. is a professional basketball club from the island of Rhodes, competing in the top-tier Greek Basket League. The team's home court is the Venetokleio Indoor Hall, where they enjoy strong local support. Founded in 1963, Kolossos has established itself as a steady and competitive presence in Greek basketball. The club's name, meaning "Colossus," is a nod to the ancient Colossus of Rhodes, representing strength and grandeur. While historically not among the traditional "big four" of Greek basketball, Kolossos has had several impressive seasons, often finishing in the upper half of the table and securing spots in European competitions like the Basketball Champions League. The team is known for its hard-nosed defensive identity and for being a difficult opponent, especially on their home island. The current squad typically features a core of Greek players supplemented by key foreign talents, aiming to consistently punch above their weight. The Rhodian fans are fiercely loyal, making their gym a fortress.
