The Arkansas Razorbacks women's basketball team, commonly referred to as Arkansas Women, competes in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) of the NCAA Division I. Based in Fayetteville, they play their home games at the Bud Walton Arena, one of the most intimidating venues in college basketball. The program has a rich history, with its most successful era coming under legendary coach Gary Blair, who led them to the 1998 SEC Tournament championship and deep NCAA Tournament runs. The modern era, under current leadership, focuses on an up-tempo, pressing style designed to wear down opponents. The team regularly features All-SEC caliber players and contends for postseason bids. Supported by the passionate "Razorback Nation," the women's team enjoys tremendous fan support, creating a fantastic home-court environment. The Arkansas Women's program is a consistent and respected force in the tough SEC landscape.
