Yuta Tabuse made history as the first Japanese-born player to appear in an NBA regular-season game, a landmark moment for Asian basketball. The 5'9" point guard from Yokohama, who played collegiately at BYU-Hawaii, earned a spot on the Phoenix Suns' roster in 2004.
